SYNOPSIS
guitar
[filename]
DESCRIPTION
guiTAR
is a generic archive tool written in GTK+, currently supporting
tar, tar.Z, tar.gz, tar.bz2, bzip2-compressed-slp, zip, lzh(lha), arj, and rar files.
guiTAR
can create, view, extract archives or add files to an existing archive.
guiTAR
compiles with GTK+ 1.0.1 to GTK+ 1.2.x with no problems. Also
GNOME support is available.
guiTAR
uses tar, gzip, bzip2, zip/unzip, unarj, lha, rar/unrar, and GNU textutils.
Only "sort" is needed from GNU textutils, guiTAR uses "sort" to reverse-sort
the filelist when extracting files from a tar archive.
filename
guiTAR opens filename after initialization. This is useful for using guiTAR
with various file managers and web browsers.
